Injection: single 40 mg vial per pack
Strength/Dosage:
capsule: 20 mg or 40 mg of Omeprazole per capsule.
Usually 1 capsule daily, or as directed by a healthcare provider.
Injection: 40 mg per vial, administered intravenously by a healthcare professional, usually in a hospital setting.
Indications:
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Omeprazole reduces stomach acid production, helping to manage symptoms of GERD like heartburn and acid reflux.
Peptic Ulcers: Promotes healing of ulcers in the stomach and duodenum, especially those caused by Helicobacter pylori infection or NSAID use.
Erosive Esophagitis: Treats inflammation and damage to the esophagus caused by acid reflux in GERD.
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Used to manage excessive acid secretion in patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Prevention of Gastric Ulcers: Helps prevent the formation of ulcers in patients on prolonged NSAID therapy.
